Bharatiya Kala Evam Sahitya Parishad (BKSP) presents Bharat Utsav 2023 on October 14, 2023 at Bollywood Banquet Hall located at 201-8166 128 Street, Surrey.
The event will provide an opportunity for the Indian community in Vancouver to come together and celebrate India in Vancouver. The event will include cultural performances such as music, dance, and drama. Delicious Indian food will be available for attendees to enjoy which is included in the ticket price. The event is family-friendly and suitable for all ages.
Such cultural programs & events are an important medium to pass the legacy to the next generations. Dr Ajay Garg, founder of Bharatiya Kala Evam Sahitya Parishad (BKSP) told that Bharat Utsav is dedicated to offering entertainment that is steeped in cultural values, with a primary goal of reconnecting people with their roots.

Save the date for Namaste Canada 2023!
Experience a great Indian cultural extravaganza at Namaste Canada 2023 this fall. The event unfolds with a diverse range of captivating performances that highlight India’s rich cultural heritage. Traditional dances from different states, such as Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi etc. transport you to the world of grace, rhythm, and storytelling. The dancers, dressed in vibrant costumes adorned with intricate embroidery, exude elegance and precision as they perform intricate footwork and emotive expressions.
I have been attending Namaste Canada events since its inception in 2016. I also volunteer at the event and help in promotion of the event.

Yoga
I am glad to be part of the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2023 celebrations organized by the Consulate General of India, Vancouver. The actual International Day of Yoga 2023 is falling on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 but the CGI Vancouver decided to celebrate it on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 08:30 am to 10:30 am.
Come and be part of the event and practice Yoga in an open park. The event is free but prior registration is required. Please bring your own Yoga mat.

The typical event starts with social networking and gup shup with snacks and ends with a bash with DJ music on Bollywood dance numbers.
