Fundraising event has been organized by the Dil Diyan Gallan Surrey to raise awareness about the Mental Health especially in the Vancouver Indian Community. It is considered to be a stigma to talk about Mental Health in the South Asian Community. The event organizers are raising awareness to break the stigma.

The goal of “Dil Diyan Gallan‘ is to change how we can view and take care of our mental health so that we see it on a spectrum of our overall well-being. On this spectrum is our physical health, spiritual health, relational health, and mental health.
Please come and support the cause on January 20, 2023 at Reflections Banquet Hall located at 6638 152A St, Surrey at 6:30pm. For tickets and other inquiries please email [email protected]

Honorable Mr. Chandra Arya, who initiated a private member bill to designate November as a Hindu Heritage Month in Canada was speaking at an event in Surrey on December 26, 2022 where he addressed the Hindu Community of Metro Vancouver.
The event was organized by North American Hindus Association (NAHA) to discuss issues related to Hindus in Canada, Canada-India Relations, Indo-Pacific Strategies, & the declaration of November as a Hindu Heritage Month in Canada.
Audience asked him various questions regarding issues related to Hindus in Canada and he gave all the appropriate answers. In my personal opinion Mr Arya is working for the community as a proud Hindu keeping his identity above & beyond politics.
