Neeraj Kumar is a passionate yoga practitioner, community organizer, and cultural advocate based in Vancouver, BC. His journey into yoga began as a personal path toward balance, well-being, and inner harmony. Today, yoga remains a central part of Neeraj’s lifestyle – not only for its physical benefits but for its profound impact on mental clarity and spiritual grounding.

With a deep respect for the roots of yoga, Neeraj sees the practice as a timeless gift from India to the world – a science of self-realization that unites the body, mind, and soul. He is best known in the Vancouver Indian community for promoting yoga as a universal tool for wellness, connection, and cultural pride.

As the founder of Yoga Day Vancouver, Neeraj has been instrumental in organizing and supporting International Day of Yoga celebrations and free community yoga sessions across the Lower Mainland. Through his efforts, he has brought together people of all ages and backgrounds to experience the healing and transformative power of yoga.

Neeraj believes that yoga is not just about flexibility or fitness – it is about awareness, balance, discipline, and unity. His dedication to building inclusive spaces for learning and sharing this ancient wisdom continues to inspire many across the Metro Vancouver area.

Neeraj also founded a group for Vancouver Yoga lovers called “Vancouver Yoga Teachers & Community” over a decade ago on Facebook which is helping Yoga lovers in Vancouver to connect with each other and helping the community to know more about Yoga related events in the Vancouver area and beyond.
